Julia Weir has been part of Photography By Dawn Weir since she was just 13 years old, growing up behind the scenes creating handmade newborn props, styling sets, and helping prepare whimsical cake smash sessions. With a natural love for babies and children, Julia has always had a nurturing, calm presence that families instantly connect with. Personally trained by her mother, Dawn Weir, Julia brings fresh creativity, a natural eye for light and composition, and a genuine passion for capturing the beauty of childhood for families throughout Edmonton and St. Albert.

In the 2023 Shoot and Share Contest, Dawn Weir, an award-winning Newborn Photographer in Edmonton and St. Albert, Alberta, claimed 9th place overall for a maternity photo, competing against nearly 5000 entries worldwide. Additionally, she secured three other images in the top 100 for their respective categories.
Dawn’s vibrant, colourful photos have garnered features in magazines and online blogs worldwide. Dawn has also placed Silver Award, Honor or Excellence in WPPI competition. Dawn has won several contests with Summerana.
