NEWBORN COMPOSITE IMAGES

      What is a composite image?

A digital composite image is created by combining 2 or more individual images or elements to form a single cohesive picture. The process is commonly used in newborn photography, graphic design, and digital art to achieve effects or compositions that would be difficult or impossible to create with a single photograph or image. A composite image in newborn photography is when I take a photo in the studio of your baby and place them in a digital background in photoshop to create a brand new image. Ever wonder how I get a photo of your newborn lying on an elephant, which would be impossible to achieve? It is through the magic of newborn composites.

Composite Images can be added to your package for an additional cost of:

Why do we use composite images with newborn photography?

Composite imagse are often used in newborn photography for safety reasons. Newborns are delicate, and certain poses or setups may put them at risk of injury if not done carefully. By creating composite images, photographers can capture shots where the baby appears to be in precarious positions or props without actually putting the baby in danger. For example, a newborn might be photographed in a suspended swing or posed with their chin resting on their hands (froggy pose), but these setups are achieved by combining mutiple images where the baby is safely supported or held by an adult or a prop. This ensures the safety and well-being of the newborn while still achieving the desired artistic results. I love how composite images give me the creative ability to give images to my clients that would not otherwise be possible. For example, if elephants mean a lot to you, I can create this image for you in the safety of my studio.

How do you order a newborn composite image?

If you are interested in creating a composite image of your baby, I will need to know at least 2 days prior to your session. This is required in order to prepare props & correct lighting for a realistic look. There is a lot of effort and time that will go into photoshop after the session to blend the two images with shadows, textures, color balance, and correct lighting to match the scene perfectly.

Your newborn baby is only super little for days after birth, and I feel that if we can capture a meaningful photo that otherwise might not be possible for you to cherish for a lifetime then why not!
For this reason I offer composite images that can be added onto your newborn packages.
